Photos from Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show

Royal Enfield motorcycles were there to be seen, even if they weren't antiques.

Without pausing to give them a glance, I probably walked by more historically significant motorcycles Saturday than ever before in my life. There was just too much to take in.

The 2013 Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show filled Frost Park in Dania Beach, Fla. with gorgeous (and gorgeously ratty) motorcycles and the people who appreciate them.

Of course I had my eye open for Royal Enfield motorcycles. I most admired the charming patina on a 1995 displayed alone on the grass, a "for sale" sign fluttering from its flanks.

But brand new Royal Enfields were there as well, on show at the booth of House of Thunder USA, the Miami dealer. To be fair, much of the attention there was focused on a radical chopper, the shop's specialty. But the Royal Enfields were being photographed as well.

"Like they were in the '60s..." one onlooker was telling a companion. "Made in India..." another noted with interest. Price tags were pointed out: most seemed to find $6,995 a pleasantly low price for such an interesting motorcycle.

C5 cafe racer had clever tail light.

House of Thunder USA had a mildly customized C5 "cafe racer" on display, as well. Would you have thought of turning the cafe bars that way? It looked sharp.

Also concentrating deeply was the crowd she attracted.

Enthusiast of every variety of motorcycle showed up in strength.

I personally tended to rally round this flag.

Something everyone agrees on: Good Humor. Vintage truck dispensed the real thing.
